Baseball Catching Instructor Casey Job
Casey Job was named head baseball coach at SUNY Adirondack in May of 2014 after being an assistant coach at SUNY Brockport for one year(2012) and an assistant at Fulton Montgomery Community College for two years(2013-2014). In 2012 Brockport lost in the championship of the SUNYAC tournament, finishing 26-17. The highly successful Head Coach Justin Beach looked to Job to work primarily with catchers and hitters. Catcher Nick Bunce, who was on the 2012 Brockport team, is currently a professional catcher with the Trinidad Triggers of the Pecos League.
While at Fulton Montgomery, Coach Job was part of a coaching staff that brought the baseball team to the postseason for the first time in almost twenty years. After a transitioning year at Fulton Montgomery in his first season , Coach Job assisted legendary Region III baseball coach Dave Hennessey to a 4th place finish in the Mountain Valley Conference and a birth to the Region III sub regionals. FMCC lost to Niagara County Community College in the sub regional best of three series in two games.
Along with Job’s collegiate coaching experience, he has coached at various other levels. Job was an assistant coach with Melvin Roads American Legion who is one of the top American Legion programs in all of New York State. Coach Job is also the Co-Head Coach for the Waterford Nationals of the Albany Twilight League. Job has also been an assistant coach and strength conditioning coordinator at Troy High School under his mentor Curtis Nobles.
As a player Casey Job has been a life long catcher. He played his high school baseball at Troy High School. Job was lucky enough to play for the great Section 2 coach, Jack Brady. He also was the catcher for the former New York Met and Baltimore Oriole, Eric Beaulac. After Troy High School he played catcher at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy where his team made it to the NJCAA Division III World Series in Tyler, Texas. In 2008, Job transferred to SUNY Brockport where he played catcher for three seasons. While at Brockport his teams played in the SUNYAC Championship in three straight years. In 2010 Brockport won their first SUNYAC Championship in six years and advanced to the NCAA Division III Regionals. Brockport also received an at large bid to the NCAA DIII Regionals in 2011 and finished with a record of 30-14. Coach Job played his summer seasons with numerous local summer teams including the South Troy Dodgers, Clifton Park Diamondbacks, Lansing Burgh Royals, Melvin Roads American Legion, and Waterford Nationals. In 2007 Job was the starting catcher for the Melvin Roads American Legion which won the state championship in Utica, New York. Job is currently in his 7th season in the Albany Twilight League. He is a player/coach for the Waterford Nationals who have been one of the top teams in the league year after year.
Job graduated from Brockport in 2011 with a B.S. in Sport Management and a minor in Coaching.
Coach Job looks to bring a ton of success to the SUNY Adirondack baseball program. He is truly thrilled to be a Timberwolf.
